Job summary

eTeam Workforce Limited is seeking a Data Engineer for an onsite 6-month contract in Telford. The role focuses on migrating SAS estate to SAS Viya 4 on DPS AWS, delivering robust data pipelines and validated data processing.

You will work with SAS developers, implement CI/CD workflows, and ensure data governance, GDPR compliance, and pipeline health, in a collaborative agile environment.

Qualifications

• Experience building and managing ETL pipelines with SAS Data Integration, Pentaho, or Talend.
• Experience with SAS (SAS 9.4, SAS Viya 3.x/4)
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and scripting for data processing.
• Cloud platforms (AWS) and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes).

Responsibilities

• Design and implement ETL processes to migrate data from Legacy SAS environments to SAS Viya 4.
• Refactor SAS jobs for Viya 4 compatibility and ensure data accuracy.
• Develop automated data ingestion and processing workflows using DevOps tools.
• Implement data governance, security, and GDPR compliance, with monitoring.
• Collaborate with architects, analysts, and test teams; support UAT and readiness.
