Job summary

World Class Defence Organisation is seeking a Technical Administrator at our Stevenage site for a 12-month contract. The role concentrates on managing parts used in calibration and maintenance of bespoke test systems, with all activity tracked in SAP.

The team is small and works within the Calibration & Maintenance group to optimise spares and service kits. You will produce and review technical reports on spares, create service kits, and help implement better stock control processes.

Qualifications

• Experience and knowledge of managing spares.
• Working knowledge of the SAP (Systems Applications and Products in data processing) ERP system.
• Good analytical and problem solving skills.
• Experience in creating and managing material masters and min / max levels.
• Understanding of calibration principles would be beneficial.
• Ability to handle multiple issues, tasks and priorities concurrently.

Responsibilities

• Managing Spares.
• From COTS down to components e.g. ICs, connector savers and service kits.
• Creation of calibration and service kits and their redeployment back into stock.
• Creation of material masters with SAP management system.
• Working with engineers to determine min / max quantity levels.
• Organisation of current stock and regular stock taking.
• Ordering of new stock.
• Using Jira to notify people of where items are up to.
• Assisting the Control Team Lead in management of critical spares.
• Liaising with relevant Engineering function to determine their requirements.
• Deploying critical spares packages and managing calibration requirements to minimise downtime to production.
• Providing SAP training and producing documentation for calibration and maintenance activities for the control team.
