Job summary

ALS is seeking a Sample Receiving Analyst for the Hawarden laboratory. You will be responsible for receiving and registering samples, coordinating lab processes, and ensuring documentation meets quality standards.

The role requires a chemistry-related qualification, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment. On-site hours are Mon-Fri, 8am-4pm, 37 hours/week, with full-time permanent employment.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Chemistry or related discipline preferred.
• Experience in laboratory operations or sample handling desirable.
• Strong communication and customer-focused approach essential.
• Highly organised and detail-oriented with multitasking ability.
• Comfortable using internal systems and office software.

Responsibilities

• Receive, register and label customer samples in line with lab standards.
• Manage sample acceptance, tracking and documentation.
• Direct samples to correct lab processes and coordinate courier/third-party activities.
• Monitor equipment calibration status and document calibration needs.
• Complete analyses within deadlines following quality and safety procedures.
