Qualifications

• 10+ years of Salesforce experience.
• Proven experience as a Functional Lead, Delivery Lead, Programme Lead, or similar leadership role.
• Strong ability to bridge business and technical teams.
• Expertise in business analysis, process design, and solution definition.
• Experience creating process maps, functional requirements, acceptance criteria, system and process flows, and test plans.
• Strong experience delivering Agile projects with backlog management and prioritisation.
• Working knowledge of Salesforce multi-cloud environments, including Service Cloud, Agentforce, Sales Cloud.
• Salesforce certifications strongly preferred across Sales, Service, Data Cloud, and Agentforce.

Role Purpose

As a Salesforce Functional Lead, you will own the end-to-end functional solution for complex Salesforce transformation programmes spanning Agentforce, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and other Salesforce platforms.

You will provide functional and delivery leadership from discovery and solution definition through design, implementation, testing, deployment, and user adoption. Working closely with customer stakeholders and multidisciplinary delivery teams, you will ensure business objectives are translated into scalable, practical, and user-centric Salesforce solutions.

This is a delivery-focused leadership role, not a hands-on configuration or development position. You will lead workshops, shape business processes and functional solutions, guide delivery teams, and ensure alignment between business requirements, solution design, and programme delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Functional Solution Ownership

• Own the functional solution across Salesforce programmes, including Agentforce, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Loyalty Cloud, Data Cloud (Data 360), and Field Service.
• Lead discovery, process design, and solution-definition workshops with senior business and technology stakeholders.
• Translate business objectives, operational requirements, and user needs into scalable Salesforce solutions.
• Challenge and refine business requirements by leveraging Salesforce capabilities, industry best practices, and process simplification.
• Provide functional leadership across sales, customer service, omnichannel customer experiences, AI-enabled processes, and operational optimisation.

Delivery Leadership

• Lead functional delivery throughout the full project lifecycle, from mobilisation and discovery through deployment and adoption.
• Direct and mentor multidisciplinary teams, including Business Analysts, Solution Architects, Developers, UX specialists, and QA teams.
• Ensure alignment across business requirements, functional design, technical architecture, and delivered capabilities.
• Identify dependencies, risks, and key design decisions early and drive resolution with programme and technical leadership.
• Act as a trusted advisor to client stakeholders, ensuring delivery remains aligned with business priorities.

Agile Delivery & Quality

• Provide functional leadership within Agile delivery frameworks.
• Support backlog definition, prioritisation, sprint planning, refinement sessions, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Ensure user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional designs are complete and ready for development and testing.
• Work with client and internal QA teams to define testing strategies, UAT approaches, and quality standards.
• Support defect management, validation, and resolution activities.
• Drive business readiness, knowledge transfer, and adoption to ensure successful transition into live operations.

Required Experience & Skills

• 10+ years of Salesforce experience.
• Proven experience as a Functional Lead, Delivery Lead, Programme Lead, or similar leadership role within large-scale Salesforce transformation programmes.
• Strong ability to bridge business and technical teams.
