Canon Europe is looking for a Salesforce Associate to support our B2B Sales teams in areas of:

  • Minor Improvements & Testing
  • IT Ticket Management

Salary up to £39,406 DOE

Responsibilities
User Support & Ticket Troubleshooting (25% of Time)

Serve as the primary point of contact for daily regional B2B Salesforce inquiries. Independently diagnose and resolve routine user issues and application tickets using established platform methods. Escalate complex bugs or high-impact system roadblocks and coordinate with the Salesforce Lead for advanced troubleshooting.

Business Contribution & Decision-Making: Directly impact regional sales productivity by minimizing system downtime for Business Development Managers (BDMs). Make independent decisions on ticket prioritization based on business urgency.

Stakeholder Management & People: Interact periodically with users to solve technical issues, requiring patience, diplomacy, and a strong customer service focus.

Training Delivery & Onboarding Material Creation (20% of Time)

Manage and execute the end-to-end training and onboarding process for new and existing B2B users. Implement innovative, visually engaging ways to deliver technical knowledge, ensuring the users with different knowledge levels or skills fully adopt Salesforce capabilities.

Business Contribution & Decision-Making: Drive business success by accelerating learning curve for new hires or with new deployments on the Salesforce platform. Independently determine the format and structure of training sessions aligned with area leader.

Stakeholder Management & People: Co-ordinate and coach cross-functional team members. Influence users to adopt best-practice CRM habits.

Deliverables: Up-to-date training manuals, quick-reference guides (eg. PowerPoint), and completed onboarding checklists for all new B2B sales users.

Data Integrity, Quality Reviews & Governance (15% of Time)

Conduct periodic, data quality reviews and system cleaning exercises. Coordinate closely with the IT/BI team to enforce data standards and governance policies set by B2B RSHQ team across all regional B2B sales teams

Problem-Solving & Innovation: Apply structured data analysis methods to identify recurring user input errors, suggesting process improvements to the Lead to prevent future data pollution.

Business Contribution & Decision-Making: Ensure system reliability and accurate business forecasting. Has the authority to flag and return non-compliant data entries to sales teams for correction.

Deliverables: Periodic data health metrics, cleaned records databases, and updated data entry governance guidelines.

Support Operational Reporting & Dashboard Maintenance (15% of Time)

Together with B2B Sales Team, collect standard reporting requests from the sales teams. Support area leader to build, modify, and maintain operational Salesforce reports and dashboards to keep metrics highly visible.

Business Contribution & Decision-Making: Support the generation of data valid for sales leadership to track the opportunity lifecycle and make accurate commercial decisions.

Stakeholder Management & People: Collaborates with Sales Managers and Area Leaders to gather requirements, translating their business needs into clear visual data components.

Deliverables: Customized operational reports, updated team dashboards, and a clean, organized folder structure for shared regional reports.

Minor Enhancements Configuration & UAT Testing (15% of Time)

Help configure minor system improvements (such as custom fields, page layouts, and basic validation rules) and actively participates in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for larger deployments.

Problem-Solving & Innovation: Implement small-scale system adjustments to update user workflows. Test new updates to catch potential software deficiencies before they go live.

Business Contribution & Decision-Making: Directly enhances process efficiency for the B2B area. Support to decide if a minor configuration meets the business criteria during UAT testing phases.

Deliverables: Completed minor configuration change logs, documented UAT test scripts, and signed-off test results.

System Maintenance Coordination & IT Ticket Tracking (10% of Time)

Handle day-to-day platform maintenance tasks. Liaise with IT to execute routine price book updates, upload new product items, and track the status of open IT change requests.

Stakeholder Management & People: Serve as the operational link between Sales Operations and the IT department. Perform follow-ups to ensure IT resources resolve escalated backend tickets promptly.

Business Contribution & Decision-Making: Ensure commercial accuracy across the system (pricing/products). Accountable for keeping internal sales stakeholders continuously informed on IT ticket progress.

Deliverables: Accurate, up-to-date system price books, timely product launches within Salesforce, and an active IT ticket tracker with periodic status updates.

Qualifications
  • 1) Active Salesforce Certified Platform Administrator credential.
  • 2) Proven hands-on experience as a Salesforce Platform Administrator or in Sales Cloud support role.
  • 3) Strong understanding of Salesforce core platform mechanics (user management, profiles/roles, standard objects, security, page layouts, and reporting tools).
  • 4) Good understanding of B2B sales processes and sales cycle management.
  • 5) Proficient in using presentation and content creation tools (e.g., Microsoft PowerPoint) to build clear, engaging training materials.
  • 6) A highly logical approach to diagnosing issues and identifying fast, effective technical workarounds or permanent solutions
  • 7) Excellent communication skills with a natural ability to break down technical concepts to train, coach, and support non-technical business users.
  • 8) Meticulous approach to data quality, system testing, and documentation.
  • 9) Strong customer service ethos, ensuring users feel supported and heard.
