Canon EMEA is seeking a Budget & Reporting Associate to manage ITCG Marketing budgets, report eCommerce P&L, and support audits. Salary up to £43,108 DOE with hybrid working in London.

You will validate spend through RFAs, coordinate forecasts, manage accruals, and maintain data integrity across Hyperion and ERP systems. The role includes expanding regional P&L coverage, ensuring monthly operating performance, and supporting RFA/PO/invoicing processes for E‑Commerce.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

  • Strong understanding of financial operations and eCommerce platforms.
  • Budget allocation and optimisation experience.
  • Systems experience: Oracle R12, OBIE, Hyperion, Salesforce.
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent analytical and detail-oriented skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and optimise operating P&Ls monthly.
  • Support RFAs, POs, and invoicing processes for E‑Commerce.
  • Take on project management responsibilities when required.
  • Prepare documentation for internal and external audits.
  • Collaborate with CEL, CENV and offshore teams to improve efficiencies.

Job Description

Canon EMEA is looking for a Budget & Reporting Associate who will play a crucial role in ensuring the marketing budget management of our ITCG Marketing budgets. They will also support the reporting of the eCommerce P&L, alongside both Internal and external audit requests.

Salary up to £43,108 DOE

Responsibilities
  • Manage all marketing spend approvals through the RFA process, validating alignment to OB/RB, strategy, and approved workplans before any PO commitment. Act as the first line of financial control, preventing unauthorised, non-compliant, or misaligned spend across high-volume, high-value RFAs, safeguarding investment at source.
  • Support and coordinate the monthly forecasting cycle for all central marketing budget owners, consolidating, validating, and challenging inputs to ensure realistic, executable forecasts. Support the visibility of an average €1.8m monthly spend, enabling timely decision-making and reducing variance risk for the leadership team.
  • Support leadership with the quarterly accrual management for all marketing investments, validating open POs and accrual balances to ensure accuracy, justification, and timeliness. Actively manage €2-5m quarterly exposure to prevent financial misstatement, aged balances, write-offs, and audit findings.
  • Ensure accurate allocation and coding of marketing actuals , maintaining integrity across cost centres, projects, and campaigns. Resolve discrepancies between forecast, actuals, and accruals to protect ROI analysis, variance reporting, and leadership decision-making.
  • Support the leadership and manage the official Original and Revised Budget submissions for central marketing into Hyperion, ensuring full consistency between workplans, forecasts, and corporate financial systems. Act as the single point of accountability for data accuracy, revisions, audit trails, and reforecast cycles impacting group reporting.
  • Act as the key point of contact for financial process and training by enforcing compliance with internal policies, approval frameworks, and control standards. Maintain full documentation and traceability across RFAs, POs, forecasts, accruals, and actuals, and serve as a key interface for Financial reviews, audits, and compliance checks-protecting the business from governance, audit, and reputational risk.
  • Expanding the current Developed regions E-Commerce summary P&L to include Emerging regions and detailed P&L breakdowns by Product Group and by Country.
  • Responsible for maintaining and optimising the current and expanded operating P&L's mentioned above on a monthly basis.
  • Support, where required, Request for Approval (RFA), Purchase Orders (PO), and invoicing processes for E-Commerce.
  • Take on Project Management responsibilities, where required, to support Digital Strategy and Operations teams.
  • Prepare documentation required for audit, both internal and external.
  • Partner with Finance teams in CEL, CENV and offshore to continually optimise and improve efficiencies.
Qualifications
  • Relevant Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience in eCommerce / finance
  • Strong understanding of financial operations and eCommerce platforms
  • Experience managing budget allocation and optimisation would be beneficial
  • Systems experience in Oracle R12, OBIE, Hyperion and Salesforce would be beneficial
  • Proficiency in using Excel, Powerpoint and other relevant software
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
