Job description

Sales Order Processor/Practice Administrator

Location: Metheringham

Salary commensurate with experience

We have a requirement for an Order Processor/Practice Administrator at our busy veterinary warehouse based in Metheringham, Lincoln. We dispense to clients across the UK and EU, to independent food producers and other veterinary practices.

The primary purpose of this position sits within the scope of a data entry clerk, specifically computerised order processing and administrative duties. These include:

  • First point of contact for all customer enquiries relating to product orders, liaising with the Warehouse Supervisor daily to ensure prompt despatch.
  • Responsible for responding to customer enquiries in a helpful, timely and professional manner; both verbally and written.
  • Handling of customer complaints and returns as per practice policy; whilst accurately recording all instances.
  • The recording and maintenance of all database files; ensuring all relevant spreadsheets and documents are kept up to date in line with GDPR regulations.
  • General administration duties within the office environment; assisting the management team with internal and guest meetings and other tasks determined by the senior management team.

The successful candidate should have attention to detail and ability to plan and manage a varied workload with a good telephone manner and excellent verbal communication skills.

You will need to be able to build and maintain good working relationships with fellow team members and customers. This role will require good numeracy skills together with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and an excellent understanding of Excel. Previous experience in a sales order discipline would be an advantage, but is not essential.
