SALES/OPERATIONS MANAGERAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sales/Operations Manager.Our client is looking for a Sales/Operations Manager with previous experience working in merchanting / distributing in the construction industry. Specific knowledge of the External Render market would be advantageous, but not essential. Hours: 7:30am-4:30pm (Mon/Fri) Very occasional Saturday mornings by appointment and odd later afternoons by exception Key role elements include:* Serving customers face to face from our sales office in Upminster* Managing email/telephone orders* Stock control support* Processing cash and direct customer orders* Warehouse control* Unloading of incoming goods* Some local deliveries in our flatbed Mercedes Sprinter van Candidates must have:* Ability to work on their own initiative* Full clean driving licence* Good basic computer skills in Word / Excel* Some experience in SAGE/SAP based software an advantage* Excellent customer communication skills* The ability to forge strong working relationships with customers and the team* The desire to put service at the forefront of all they do* experience in handling cash and performing credit card transactions Candidates will ideally have:* The desire to progress and offer ideas to assist in rapidly growing this new business* Fork lift licence (advantageous but not essential)* Live locally and be prepared to work and think outside of the box* Want to be part of a new and exciting commercial team, leading the way in the distribution of external rendering solutions and associated facade products* It would be highly beneficial if candidate live within 20 minutes of the office The successful candidate will get:* A competitive package in the region of GBP24k-GBP26k p.a.
