Job summary

Orange Cat Recruitment in Richmond is seeking a Sales Operations Manager to lead a small team of three and own the division's day-to-day performance. You will guide customer enquiries, quotations and opportunities, and ensure leads are followed up consistently using the Zoho CRM system.

We are looking for a proven people manager with strong commercial awareness, confidence with figures, and experience in a busy customer-focused environment.

The role:

This is a varied, hands-on management role where people management is key.
You ll lead a team of three and take responsibility for the smooth running and performance of the division. You ll know what s happening across the business, from the team and customers to leads, quotations, CRM activity and the numbers.

You ll be responsible for:

• Managing, supporting and motivating your team
• Taking ownership of the division's day-to-day running
• Keeping on top of customer enquiries, quotations and opportunities
• Ensuring leads are followed up consistently
• Using the CRM to manage customers, leads and activity
• Monitoring performance and keeping an eye on the numbers
• Working closely with colleagues across the wider group
• Identifying opportunities to make things work even better

About you:

• First and foremost, you ll be an experienced people manager who enjoys getting the best from a team.

You ll also have:

• Strong CRM experience the business uses Zoho, although Zoho experience isn t essential
• Good commercial and business awareness
• Confidence with figures and understanding business performance
• Experience in a busy, customer-focused environment
• A practical, organised approach and the confidence to take ownership

You could come from e-commerce, wholesale, distribution, trade supplies or another commercially focused business your exact industry background isn t important.

This isn t an order processing role or a traditional hard sales position. It s an opportunity to lead a team, take ownership of a successful division and have a genuine influence on its future.
