Job description

We have a great new opportunity for a Fresh Produce Sales Manager to join a well-respected, successful Fresh Produce company based in Kent. They have developed an enviable business model through technology and innovation to serve UK retail and non-retail customers with fruit, salads, and organic produce year-round.

They are looking for a sales professional to join their non-retail sales team and work with the Head of Non-Retail to develop and expand their existing offerings in primary and secondary wholesale, fresh prepared foods, foodservice, and other customer portfolios. You should have a good understanding of how non-retail markets operate, likely dealing with UK home delivery companies, processors, packers, and category managers. Your role will involve driving performance across the team and external stakeholders, as well as introducing new customers and suppliers.

You will help manage relationships with existing customers, ensuring they receive excellent service and maximizing sales opportunities. This role offers the chance to develop your knowledge of these markets with excellent mentoring from a top-performing team. What we are looking for
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in sales and/or procurement within the fresh produce sector, especially fruit.
  • Strong supplier and customer relationship skills, with a proven successful trading record.
  • Proficiency in supply chain processes and a good understanding of world geography and global logistics issues.
  • Ability to speak a second language, particularly Spanish, is desirable but not essential.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and working to tight deadlines.
  • IT literate, especially with MS Word and Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus, with training provided.
  • Confident communicator with an outgoing personality, capable of effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, resolving queries efficiently.

The role offers a competitive salary + bonus in the range of £50k to £75k. WFH options are available after the initial induction. In addition to the normal company benefits,
