Description:

Dynamic, proactive, and highly experienced Sales Manager / Business Development Manager required by our household name client to manage a team of sales and account management professionals.

Our client is part of a multi-billion-pound global organization employing more than 70,000 staff in over countries and is recognized as a market leader in its niche manufacturing sector. Due to continued success and ongoing strategic growth, they are seeking an experienced Bulk Sales Manager to join their established sales team covering the UK.

Reporting to the Head of Applications and Business Development and based anywhere in the UK, the successful candidate will manage a team of 8 direct reports and lead the non-application Sales and Business Development functions of Onsites & Bulk Business. This includes identifying and engaging new customers, maximizing relationships and opportunities with existing clients, and upselling to meet sales and margin targets.

The role focuses on Bulk, Small On-Site, and low-volume liquid gas delivery solutions across the UK. The manager will oversee business development, capture, and execution in key customer markets, lead the Technical Support function for new business capture, ensure SHEQ compliance, and uphold high standards in safety and quality.

Additionally, the role involves managing diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives within the team to foster a strong, inclusive workplace environment.

Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience leading motivated sales teams, working with respected market-leading customers, and possess exceptional commercial and negotiation skills, including complex contract negotiations.

A good understanding of the relevant products and market sectors, the ability to influence at leadership levels, and a proactive approach to new business development are essential. The candidate should demonstrate professionalism, dynamism, integrity, emotional intelligence, and the ability to motivate others.
