About The Role

Senior Sales Manager

Location: Manchester

Salary: £40,000–£50,000 basic | OTE £80,000

At Car Finance 247, we're looking for an experienced, commercially driven Senior Sales Manager to join our Manchester Sales team.

This is a hands‑on leadership role, managing a team of up to 16 Sales Advisors in a fast‑paced, high‑performing sales environment. You'll be responsible for driving sales performance, improving conversions, coaching your team and consistently delivering against ambitious targets.

We're looking for a proven sales leader who knows how to get the best out of their people, leads from the front and has a strong track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.

Experience within the car finance brokerage, automotive or motor finance industry is highly desirable, particularly for those who have successfully managed sales teams in high-volume, target-driven environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and manage a sales team of up to 16 people, driving performance against daily, weekly and monthly targets.
• Take a hands‑on approach to coaching, developing and supporting your team to maximise sales conversions.
• Monitor KPIs, sales activity and individual performance, taking action to improve results.
• Manage underperformance, conduct regular one‑to‑ones and create a culture of accountability and achievement.
• Identify opportunities to improve sales processes, customer journeys and overall commercial performance.
• Ensure the team delivers excellent customer outcomes while maintaining FCA compliance standards.
• Work closely with the Head of Sales to deliver business objectives and drive continued growth.

About You

• Proven experience managing a successful sales team in a fast‑paced, target‑driven environment.
• A strong track record of achieving and exceeding challenging sales targets and KPIs.
• Previous experience within car finance brokerage, motor finance or automotive sales is highly desirable.
• A hands‑on sales leader who enjoys being involved in day‑to‑day sales activity and coaching their team.
• Experience managing teams of a similar size, driving conversions and improving performance.
• Commercially focused, resilient and confident managing underperformance.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate people and deliver results.
• Comfortable using sales data and KPIs to make decisions and drive improvements.
