What will I be doing?

As Sales Manager, you will analyze local market trends and competitor activity to recommend strategies that keep the hotel a leader in the marketplace. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Analyzing local market trends and competitor activity to identify business leads
  • Developing customer accounts and traveling within the local area to drive business and increase market share
  • Negotiating room rates and packages with corporate clients
  • Implementing creative local marketing strategies, including social media
  • Preparing contracts in line with current business and pricing conditions
  • Working within current strategies and recognizing new opportunities
  • Collaborating with other departments to create an exceptional guest experience and strong sales programs
  • Attending sales events as required
  • Producing timely reports on appointments, calls, and leads for management
  • Responding promptly and professionally to customer queries
  • Managing staff performance according to company policies
  • Recruiting, training, and developing the sales team
