  • £50,000 to £65,000 Basic salary (experience dependent)
  • Home Office, Company Car/ car allowance, private healthcare, Pension, Laptop, Mobile Phone, Credit Card and Bonus, on target earnings £80,000+
  • UK and Ireland
  • Home Based could live in Leeds, Manchester, Huddersfield, Preston, Stoke-on-Trent, Birmingham, Stockport, Warrington, Liverpool, Bolton etc.

Mercury Hampton is working exclusively with this client. Our client is a privately owned entrepreneurial high growth company, part of a successful engineering services group, they are a thought leader and innovator in the flexographic printing industry. They are now looking for a dynamic sales professional to drive growth and lead the business in the flexographic print industry. You will take full responsibility for the growth strategy and all commercial activity of the company. You may already have leadership experience, or you may be an ambitious senior sales professional looking to step up into a management position.

The company are based in the North of the UK, as the role is covering the UK and Ireland our client is open on where you live. You will have experience, contacts and a good technical grounding in flexographic print processes and will have sold into theCorrugated & Flexible Packaging industries including the Narrow web/ label industries. The role will involve selling technical/ maintenance services and consumables to improve customers print quality and maintain optimum productivity. You will develop the sales strategy, managing key finance metrics, profit margins and revenue targets whilst you map out the market, work with existing customers [grow them] and win new customers with a view to building a team around you. The role will report directly into the MD owner; he will develop you and mentor you with a view to you potentially moving into a director’s position with equity.

The Candidate:

  • The successful candidate will have external sales experience from the flexographic print sector
  • Management / leadership ability /experience
  • Training and coaching experience
  • Driven, dynamic and ambitious
  • You will work with a high degree of honesty and trust; we are looking for the company’s future leader
  • Hard working and determined, and able to work on your own initiative
  • Print industry and printing knowledge / coating industry
  • Experience within the packaging and label sector
  • A strong strategic thinker with exceptional ability to develop relationships, manage key accounts and develop new business
  • You will have excellent communication skills and able to communicate and sell to a wide variety of levels.
  • Dynamic “can do” attitude, and enthusiasm for sales
  • A mechanical engineering apprenticeship would also be desirable
  • You will have an eye for upselling / cross selling opportunities
