Job description

Salary: Competitive

We have a new opportunity for a Sales Manager to join our MedicinesComplete Sales Team to achieve sales targets by growing sustainable digital in UK and rest-of-world (ROW) markets.

Responsible for driving performance across the team to achieve New Business, Retention, and Attrition targets, you will manage the activities of the UK and ROW teams and personally handle key accounts, typically those with high complexity and value.

The Sales Manager is a role model for the team, maximizing renewal and up-sell opportunities, identifying prospective new clients, and presenting, pitching, and negotiating new business wins.

Requirements:

  • Excellent motivation, sales, and leadership capabilities
  • Graduate calibre with strong, demonstrable sales experience, ideally gained in an STM publishing or digital sales environment
  • Previous management experience (over a minimum of 5 staff)
  • Consultative selling experience with strong client-facing skills and demonstrable experience of pitching business solutions to senior decision-makers
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet specific deadlines
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, including negotiation at all levels
  • Ability to understand and work with complex business models
  • Attention to detail and analytical skills
  • A good understanding of CRM systems and the importance of database management
  • Knowledge and/or experience of working in the UK healthcare/pharmaceutical industry and/or selling into the academic sector is desirable

How we are currently working

We work in a hybrid manner, allowing you to work from home with an expectation for collaborative face-to-face work. Typically, this involves between 4-8 days per month at our London Office.
