Job summary

Russell's (Kirbymoorside) Ltd in Malton seeks a Sales Ledger Accounts Assistant to manage accounts receivable, ensure correct invoicing, and collect payments on time. You will perform credit control, resolve invoice queries, and produce customer statements monthly, keeping records accurate and up to date.

Experience with IBM Cos Gold and strong numerical skills are preferred; on-site parking is available and a competitive package is offered based on experience.

Qualifications

• Proficient IT use, especially in accounting software and MS Office.
• Accurate data input and numerical handling.

• Efficient time management to ensure daily cash entries and credit chasers.

Responsibilities

• Payment Allocation: match customer payments to accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Credit Control: follow processes and pursue overdue debts, involving legal as needed.
• Query resolution: handle invoice, statement, and payment inquiries.
• Statement Production: prepare monthly statements per customer preference.
• Record Maintenance: keep customer accounts updated, including self-billing and credit changes.
• Month End: ensure receipts and allocations support accurate month-end reporting.
