Job summary

RG Consultancy are working with an excellent, award-winning manufacturer based in Leyland who are looking for an experienced Sales Ledger Accounts Assistant to join their small, friendly team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role will oversee day-to-day responsibilities across sales ledger and credit control.

The position offers 25 days holiday plus bank, a company pension, an early finish on Fridays and free onsite parking, with opportunities to develop further within the finance

Qualifications

• Experience in sales ledger and credit control.
• Able to raise invoices and manage customer accounts.
• Experience with credit limits and order authorisation.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to produce reports and statements.

Responsibilities

• Raising sales invoices.
• Setting up new customer accounts and reviewing credit history.
• Setting credit limits and reviewing on a regular basis.
• Authorisation of new customer orders.
• Posting and allocating cash received.
• Building and maintaining customer relationships.
• Resolving queries.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, this Sales Ledger Accounts Assistant will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day responsibilities across all aspects of sales ledger and credit control.

Duties include:

• Raising sales invoices


• Setting up new customer accounts and reviewing credit history


• Setting credit limits and reviewing on a regular basis


• Authorisation of new customer orders


• Posting and allocating cash received


• Building and maintaining customer relationships


• Resolving queries


• Issuing monthly statements


• Producing reports


• Other adhoc finance tasks as required

This Sales Ledger Accounts Assistant role is ideal for someone who has experience within credit control and is used to managing the sales ledger end-to-end. This role also offers the opportunity to get involved in other areas of accounts and to develop further.
