Fisher German is seeking a Sales Ledger Assistant to join our small, friendly finance team at our Head Office in Ashby de la Zouch. This full-time, 12-month FTC role offers hybrid working and a core hours policy, with discretionary bonus and a generous holiday scheme.

You will maintain the cashbook, process payments, and prepare customer statements while supporting a collaborative office environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented with strong Excel skills and good communication.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales ledger or accounts-related roles is desirable.
• Familiarity with banking and cash handling.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel for data analysis.
• Experience with Dimensions or similar ERP is a plus.
• Detail-oriented with ability to collaborate in a small team.

Responsabilités

• Maintain the cashbook – daily banking & bank reconciliations.
• Record day-to-day payments and financial transactions in Dimensions.
• Allocate cash promptly and accurately.
• Daily reconciliation of unallocated cash; liaise with other areas to ensure allocations.
• Take card payments and process customer refunds.
• Prepare and distribute statements showing ageing of sales ledger debt.
• Raise VAT invoices and credit notes.
• Issue monthly customer statements; handle central inbox and ad hoc projects.
