Job summary

Sinclair Group is seeking a motivated Sales Executive to join our BYD team in Swansea. You will guide customers from initial enquiry through demonstrations, test drives, delivery and aftersales follow-up, while representing cutting-edge electric and hybrid vehicles.

The role requires a customer-focused, target-driven individual with strong communication and IT skills, a full UK driving licence, and a passion for automotive technology.

Qualifications

• Previous sales experience, ideally in automotive retail.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Proven ability to meet targets and work under pressure.
• Good IT skills and familiarity with CRM systems.
• Must hold a Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Guide customers through the vehicle-buying journey from enquiry to delivery.
• Conduct demonstrations and test drives of BYD vehicles.
• Promote finance, insurance and additional products.
• Follow up leads to maximise sales and build referral business.
• Maintain accurate customer records and CRM data.
• Support a small sales team and deliver excellent customer experience at every stage.

Salary: £20,000 Basic Salary with Uncapped OTE Plus Car Allowance

Hours of work: 5 days a week - our showroom opening hours are 8.30am to 6.00pm Monday to Friday, Saturday 8.30am to 5pm and Sunday 11am to 4pm. Late nights and weekends on a rota basis.

About the Role

As a Sales Executive, you will guide customers through their vehicle-buying journey, from initial enquiry and vehicle demonstrations through to delivery and aftersales follow-up. You will represent an exciting range of innovative electric and hybrid vehicles while helping customers make the transition to the latest automotive technology.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing customer enquiries both in person and online
• Identifying customer needs and recommending the right vehicle solution
• Conducting professional vehicle demonstrations and test drives
• Following up leads and maximising sales opportunities
• Promoting finance, insurance and additional products
• Building long-term customer relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals
• Achieving individual and team sales targets
• Maintaining accurate customer records using CRM systems
• Delivering an exceptional customer experience at every stage of the sales journey
• Maintaining excellent product knowledge across the BYD range
• Working with and supporting a small sales team

What We're Looking For

• Previous sales experience, ideally within the motor industry
• Naturally confident, friendly, and approachable
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Self-motivated with a target-driven approach
• Strong organisational and IT skills
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Driven to develop their career within the automotive industry
• Full UK driving licence
