Our client, an excelling freight forwarding and logistics organisation, with management of regular commercial freight logistics and specialising in providing comprehensive services for the movement of high-niche market products, are looking to recruit a talented Sales Executive / Business Development Manager, to be based remotely and reporting into the Manchester office.

The hiring managers are open to applications from junior to senior level business development executives who have a proven track record in freight forwarding sales, particularly of air and ocean import/export freight forwarding services.

Main Purpose of the Sales Executive / Business Development Manager:

• The role is responsible for acquiring new freight forwarding business, maintaining existing accounts, and proactively penetrating the customer base to grow business and relationships within the North-West region.
• Represent the company to new and existing customers via in-person meetings, phone, email, or video conference.
• Actively sell the company's air & ocean freight forwarding services to current and potential clients.
• Increase sales and gross profit related to air & ocean freight forwarding services.
• Align with and promote the company's Mission Statement to customers.

To Be Considered:

• Proven track record in selling air and sea freight forwarding services.
• Strong negotiating and influencing skills.
• Ability to generate new leads and new business in air and/or ocean freight forwarding services.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Self-motivated with good time management.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Service-oriented mindset.
• Ability to work independently, cross-functionally, and as part of a team.
