You will generate and convert new business opportunities through structured outbound activity, engaging with senior decision-makers and guiding them from discovery to close.

• Track record of working towards individual sales targets and taking ownership of your own pipeline.
• Experience managing opportunities through multiple stages and maintaining follow-up.
• Resilience and confidence when dealing with objections and rejection.
• Professional, consultative approach to selling rather than relying on high-pressure techniques.
• Good commercial judgement and the ability to recognise when an opportunity is worth pursuing.

Responsibilities

• Conducting regular outbound calls to relevant business decision-makers and confidently navigating gatekeepers.
• Building rapport and credibility quickly with prospective customers.
• Running discovery conversations to understand business needs, requirements and suitability.
• Qualifying prospects and identifying genuine new business opportunities.
• Explaining the company's proposition and handling routine objections professionally.
• Managing a pipeline of opportunities from initial contact through to follow-up, close and sign-up.
• Taking personal ownership of opportunities throughout the sales process, with handover to Partner Support only once the sale has been completed.
• Maintaining accurate CRM records, including sales stages, next actions, activity and forecast information.
• Managing multiple contacts and opportunities through a structured, multi-touch sales cycle.
• Ensuring all customer interactions, CRM records and handovers meet the required quality standards.

Sales Executive

Yolk Recruitment is supporting a successful and growing organisation in Cardiff with the recruitment of a Telesales Executive to join their New Business Sales team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced outbound sales professional who enjoys building relationships, identifying opportunities and taking ownership of the sales process from initial conversation through to close.

This is consultative B2B sales rather than a high-pressure, one-call-close environment. You will be provided with targeted prospect data and will be responsible for turning those opportunities into qualified prospects and new business partnerships.

The Role

As a Telesales Executive, you will be responsible for generating and converting new business opportunities through structured outbound activity.

• Strong communication skills and the confidence to engage with a wide range of business contacts.
