Job summary

Equation Recruitment Ltd in Buckingham is seeking a Sales Estimator to take ownership of the estimating process from initial enquiry through to tender submission, helping to secure new business, develop existing client relationships and maximise sales opportunities.

Reporting to the Bid Director, you will combine strong technical understanding, commercial awareness and excellent communication skills to produce accurate, competitive estimates while delivering an outstanding level of customer

Qualifications

• Experience in a sales estimating, estimating, technical sales or commercial role.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
• The ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and project requirements.
• Confidence in preparing accurate quotations, estimates and tender submissions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate, competitive estimates and tenders within deadlines.
• Review customer enquiries, specifications and drawings to establish the full scope of works.
• Carry out material take-offs from tender drawings and design pipework routes.
• Produce detailed quotations using the company’s bespoke estimating software and issue quotation letters.
• Assist with completing PQQs and tender documentation.
