Job summary

Core Group is seeking a Sales Estimator in Buckingham, United Kingdom. The role involves handling sales estimates from initial enquiry to tender submission, ensuring cost accuracy, and maximising order potential through client liaison.

Key duties include tender pricing, site surveys where needed, producing estimates and quotations, engaging with suppliers, and supporting business development efforts to grow sales with existing and new clients.

Responsibilities

• Ensure tenders are priced accurately and submitted on time
• Deal with customer enquiries
• Determine full extent of customer requirements and drawings
• Carry out site survey visits if required
• Design pipe routes using manufacturers recommendations
• Carry out materials take-offs from tender drawings
• Produce estimates using bespoke software
• Produce and issue quotation letters
• Assist in completing tender prequalification questionnaires (PQQs)
• Negotiate with suppliers on prices, terms and availability
• Answer technical and product queries
• Support growth of sales with existing clients and new clients
• Conduct follow-up calls on quotations to assess competitiveness and project details
• Negotiate quotation prices with customers and with suppliers & subcontractors
• Provide clients with technical and sales brochures/data and technical submittals
• Arrange business development meetings, site surveys and tender bid meetings for directors
• Input, update and edit enquiry/customer/supplier/price records in bespoke software
