Job summary

Talent Media Ltd in Dumbarton is seeking a Sales Engineer for its Aftermarket & Proposals team. You’ll respond to enquiries, prepare quotes and proposals, and help convert opportunities into orders.

The role requires an engineering background with technical sales experience and an HNC or equivalent. You’ll review drawings, build relationships with customers, and identify aftermarket opportunities. 37 hours per week; up to 38k DOE; 27 days’ annual leave plus 8 holidays; company pension.

Qualifications

• Engineering background with technical sales experience.
• HNC or equivalent qualification in engineering.
• Ability to review technical information and engineering drawings.
• Strong customer communication and relationship-building skills.
• Commercial awareness, attention to detail and proactive approach.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Experience supporting business development or marketing is useful.

Responsibilities

• Respond to enquiries and revise quotations.
• Review requirements and prepare quotes, proposals and tenders.
• Follow up proposals to convert opportunities into orders.
• Build strong customer relationships and identify opportunities to grow existing accounts.
• Understand engineering drawings and coordinate with internal teams to resolve queries.
• Coordinate order handovers and share updates with colleagues across the business.
• Identify opportunities to recommend aftermarket parts, retrofits, upgrades, and other solutions.
