Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is partnering with a respected Midlands-based international manufacturer to recruit a Sales Engineer specialising in industrial plastics. The role offers strong earning potential and long-term progression within a field-based capacity across the Midlands and South West.

You will develop new business and manage existing accounts, delivering polyurethane and engineering plastic solutions across recycling, quarrying, mining and bulk handling sectors.

Qualifications

• Experience in technical sales, field sales or applications engineering.
• Background in industrial plastics, polyurethane products, or engineering.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business and manage Midlands and SouthWest accounts.
• Provide technical sales support for plastics and polyurethane solutions.
• Prepare quotations and commercially aligned proposals based on customer requirements.
• Conduct site visits, product demonstrations and customer meetings.
• Work closely with internal technical and production teams to support projects and customer delivery.
• Support exhibitions, trade shows and industry events.

Sales Engineer (Industrial Plastics)

£35,000 – £40,000 + Uncapped Commission (£50-£60k OTE) + Company Car + Training + Progression + Autonomy + Company Benefits

West Midlands/South West (Field-Based)

Are you a Sales Executive with a background in industrial plastics or similar, looking to join an established international manufacturer offering strong earning potential and long-term progression?

You will be responsible for developing new business and managing existing accounts across a range of industrial sectors, providing tailored polyurethane and engineering plastics solutions to customers operating within recycling, quarrying, mining, bulk handling and manufacturing environments.

The company is a respected international manufacturer specialising in advanced polyurethane and engineering plastic products. With continued growth across the UK market, they offer a stable platform, technical development and excellent earning potential.

This role would suit a Sales Engineer with experience in industrial products or solutions, looking to maximise earnings and take ownership of their territory.

The Role:

• Develop new business and manage existing customer accounts across the Midlands and SouthWest
• Provide technical sales support for industrial plastics and polyurethane solutions
• Prepare quotations, proposals and commercially aligned solutions based on customer requirements
