Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a Sales Engineer (Industrial / Plastic Components) in the Midlands/South West area. You will develop new business and manage existing accounts, providing polyurethane and engineering plastic solutions to customers across recycling, quarrying, mining, bulk handling and manufacturing environments.

The role offers £35,000-£40,000 base plus uncapped commission (£50-£60k OTE), a company car, training, progression and a supportive team in a field-based capacity.

Qualifications

• Experience in technical sales, field sales or applications engineering.
• Background in industrial plastics, polyurethane products, or engineering.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business and manage existing customer accounts across the Midlands and SouthWest.
• Provide technical sales support for industrial plastics and polyurethane solutions.
• Prepare quotations, proposals and commercially aligned solutions based on customer requirements.
• Conduct site visits, product demonstrations and customer meetings.
• Work closely with internal technical and production teams to support projects and customer delivery.
• Support exhibitions, trade shows and industry events.

Are you a Sales Executive with a background in industrial plastics or similar, looking to join an established international manufacturer offering strong earning potential and long-term progression?

You will be responsible for developing new business and managing existing accounts across a range of industrial sectors, providing tailored polyurethane and engineering plastics solutions to customers operating within recycling, quarrying, mining, bulk handling and manufacturing environments.

This role would suit a Sales Engineer with experience in industrial products or solutions, looking to maximise earnings and take ownership of their territory.
