East Midlands – Hybrid Working
£40,000–£50,000 Basic + Commission + Car or Car Allowance + Benefits
A superb opportunity is now available for a commercially minded Sales Engineer to join a highly reputable and respected manufacturer of special purpose machinery based in the East Midlands.
Working directly for the machinery manufacturer, you will enjoy selling engineering solutions to organisations supporting world class engineering environments across the Aerospace, Automotive, Pharmaceutical and Defence sectors.
This is a particularly exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys understanding how things work, identifying what a customer needs and developing a solution that makes a real difference to their operation.
Combining new business development with responding to incoming enquiries and managing an established client base, you will have a varied role with opportunities to develop both new and existing customer relationships.
You will take enquiries through from initial discussions and understanding the technical requirement to preparing proposals, presenting solutions, negotiating terms and securing orders. Working closely with the engineering teams, you will help develop machinery and system concepts that meet the customer’s requirements, ensuring a clear handover once business is secured.
A real attraction here is the opportunity to work directly with the people who design and manufacture the machinery you are selling. You will be close to the engineering expertise behind the equipment, able to see solutions take shape and offer customers a considered response to their individual challenges.
Candidates with experience of selling special purpose machinery or capital equipment are highly sought after. However, applications are also welcomed from those within a wider engineering sales background who can demonstrate the ability to solution sell, understand technical applications and build credibility with engineering and purchasing decision makers.
You will enjoy developing business, following up opportunities and maintaining strong relationships, bringing the commercial awareness and attention to detail required to turn an initial conversation into a successful order.
Based in the East Midlands, the role offers the benefits of hybrid working, combining time working from home with time at the manufacturing site and visiting customers.
Offering a basic salary of £40,000–£50,000, plus commission, a company car or car allowance and benefits, this is a fantastic opportunity to further your engineering sales career directly with a respected machinery manufacturer.
