The role requires strong commercial leadership, stakeholder engagement and a high degree of creativity and latitude. The Director – Sales will engage with all levels of customer organisations, including technical, operations, supply chain and executive management.

You will also develop and deliver sales bids, presentations, proposals, account plans, product demonstrations and customer-facing solutions.

Based in Uxbridge, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced data centre sales professional to take a senior commercial leadership position within a global technology, distribution and supply chain organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sell a diverse range of data centre solutions and services, including structured cabling, physical security, electrical solutions, high-density liquid cooling, networking, IoT and Pro-AV, across a defined territory.
  • Position the company's services for design, end-to-end project deployment, product enhancement and rack & roll.
  • Build strong partnerships across internal business units and work collaboratively as part of a fast-paced sales organisation.
  • Develop business relationships with strategic vendors and alliance partners to enhance value-added sales and identify new project opportunities.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management, resolving post-sale issues where required.
  • Utilise sales management tools for sales planning, supplier planning and opportunity management.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the competitive landscape, market trends and customer requirements.
  • Develop and administer sales plans to drive customer satisfaction, revenue growth and sales performance.
  • Achieve annual sales and profit targets through effective strategy implementation and analysis of market trends.
  • Forecast sales volume and profitability across existing and new products and customers.
  • Establish and expand national, regional and local supplier relationships.
  • Maintain sales volume, product mix and pricing by staying current with market trends, customer requirements and competitors.
  • Maintain strong professional and technical knowledge through industry events, workshops, publications and professional networks.
  • Prepare and communicate accurate sales forecasts, pipeline information and market intelligence to senior management.
  • Identify new business opportunities across the UK data centre market and wider EMEA region.
  • Develop long-term strategic relationships with hyperscale, colocation, enterprise and other data centre customers.
  • Engage with customers at executive, technical, procurement, operations and project delivery levels.
  • Support the identification of new data centre developments at an early stage of the project lifecycle.

  • Work collaboratively with suppliers and internal technical teams to develop appropriate solutions.
  • Develop account strategies for key AEC stakeholders.
