Job summary

King Living has opened its first UK Outlet in Hemel Hempstead, and we’re building the founding team to bring it to life. As part of the team, you will help shape the customer experience, operations and culture of a new retail format for King Living UK.

Successful candidates are commercially minded, practical and customer-focused, enjoy talking to people, solving problems and staying busy, with weekend shifts and a hands-on attitude.

Qualifications

• Retail, hospitality or customer service experience required.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Willingness to work weekends.
• Ability to learn new systems and processes.

Responsibilities

• Build genuine customer relationships and guide customers through the Outlet buying experience.
• Keep the Outlet ready to trade with stock presentation, replenishment, and inventory movement.
• Work collaboratively, solve problems and contribute ideas to help the Outlet succeed.
• Represent King Living with professionalism in a premium showroom environment.

King Living has opened its first UK Outlet in Hemel Hempstead—and we're looking for the founding team to bring it to life.

King Living is an Australian design-led furniture brand with over 45 years of experience creating award-winning, innovative furniture for homes around the world. Known for our timeless design, engineering and craftsmanship, we operate across Australia, the UK, North America, New Zealand and Asia, with a growing retail presence in the UK.

As part of the founding team, you will help shape the customer experience, operations and culture of a new retail format for King Living UK.

What You’ll Own

Sales & Customer Experience

Build genuine customer relationships, maximise sales opportunities and confidently guide customers through the Outlet buying experience.

Inventory & Operations

Keep the Outlet ready to trade by supporting stock presentation, replenishment, collections and inventory movement alongside the Warehouse team.

Team Contribution

Work collaboratively, solve problems and contribute ideas that help the team and Outlet succeed.

Brand Standards

Represent King Living with professionalism and maintain a premium customer environment within a fast-moving Outlet setting.

Who You Are

You're commercially minded, practical and customer-focused.

You enjoy talking to people, solving problems and staying busy.

You're equally happy helping a customer choose their new sofa, preparing a collection, locating stock or refreshing the showroom.

You're naturally take ownership, communicate well and enjoy working as part of a close-knit team where everyone contributes.

You’ll likely bring:

• Retail, hospitality or customer service experience
• A genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A proactive, hands-on attitude
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail
• Confidence learning new systems and processes
• Weekend work is required to support the needs of the business.
• A willingness to support across sales, operations and customer collections

Furniture experience is helpful, but not essential.
