Job summary

Kevin Theobald Employment Agency is seeking an experienced Sales & Compliance Manager to drive business development and ensure stringent compliance across our operations. The role combines securing new business with managing existing accounts and implementing regulatory standards.

Location is Heathrow with salary of £40k + 1% commission or £45k + 2% commission; duties include 70% sales focus and 30% compliance, plus petrol allowance.

Responsibilities

• Sales & Business Development: identify opportunities across the UK, generate leads, build relationships, prepare proposals, negotiate terms, maintain sales pipeline, and meet targets.
• Compliance & Operational Standards: manage day-to-day compliance, maintain records and checks, conduct audits, implement corrective actions, and stay updated on UK transport and regulatory requirements.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced, driven and commercially minded Sales & Compliance Manager to join our growing same-day and special delivery business.

This is a key role combining business development, customer relationship management and operational compliance. You will be responsible for growing our customer base and revenue while ensuring the business continues to operate safely, professionally and in line with relevant UK transport, driver and regulatory requirements.

The successful candidate will be confident winning new business, developing existing accounts and identifying opportunities within sectors where time-critical delivery is essential. At the same time, you will take ownership of our compliance processes, ensuring our drivers, vehicles, documentation and operational procedures meet the required standards.

Duties Include:

Sales & Business Development

• Identify and develop new business opportunities across the UK.
• Generate leads through telephone, email, networking, referrals and targeted prospecting.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
• Prepare quotations, tenders and commercial proposals.
• Negotiate rates and service agreements while protecting company margins.
• Identify opportunities to increase customer spend.
• Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and provide regular reports on activity and performance.
• Work closely with operations to ensure customer requirements can be delivered efficiently.
• Meet agreed sales, revenue and customer retention targets.

Compliance & Operational Standards

• Take ownership of the company's day-to-day compliance processes.
• Maintain accurate driver and Office staff compliance records.
• Ensure appropriate driver documentation, licences, checks and training are maintained.
• Monitor vehicle/driver documentation (Insurance, Driving licence checks)
• Conduct regular compliance audit.
• Ensure company procedures are followed across the operation.
• Maintain appropriate records and evidence for audits.
• Work with management to implement corrective and preventative actions.
• Keep up to date with relevant UK transport, road safety, employment and regulatory requirements
