Job summary

KINAXIA is seeking a Driver Development Manager to lead and support our network of Driver Trainers across the UK. This national role will shape driver standards, improve compliance, and drive safety performance through best-in-class development programmes.

Reporting to the Head of Compliance, you will own training standards, manage the Driver CPC programme, work with Fleet, HR and Operations to identify opportunities, reduce risk and raise overall driver performance.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in driver training within a transport or logistics environment.
  • Strong understanding of transport compliance, including Driver Hours regulations and Working Time Directive requirements.
  • Experience developing and delivering driver training programmes.
  • Experience supporting or coaching Driver Trainers and drivers.
  • Knowledge of telematics, tachograph analysis and driver performance reporting.
  • Experience investigating incidents and conducting root cause analysis.
  • Strong presentation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a national workload.
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office applications.

  • Develop, maintain and enhance driver training materials and development programmes.
  • Manage and oversee the Driver CPC programme, including in-house CPC delivery.
  • Investigate driver-related incidents and vehicle collisions, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
  • Analyse telematics, tachograph and compliance data to identify trends and training needs.
  • Work with operational teams to improve driver safety, compliance, fuel efficiency and overall performance.
  • Support driver recruitment, assessment and selection processes.
  • Produce KPI reports and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the driver population.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across Operations, Fleet, HR and Compliance functions.

Driver Development Manager

Are you passionate about driver safety, compliance, training excellence, and developing high-performing driver teams?

We're looking for an experienced Driver Development Manager to lead and support our network of Driver Trainers across the UK. This is a national role that will play a pivotal part in shaping driver standards, improving compliance, enhancing safety performance, and delivering best-in-class driver development programmes.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Compliance, you will take ownership of driver training standards across the business, ensuring a consistent and effective approach to driver development, assessments, Driver CPC programmes, and compliance training.

You will work closely with operational teams, Driver Trainers, Fleet, HR and Compliance functions to identify development opportunities, reduce risk and improve driver performance across the network.

Monday - Friday

45-50k per annum

Key Responsibilities

Essential Skills & Experience
