About

About Charity Link At Charity Link, we connect people with causes that change lives. Our fundraisers work across the country engaging the public in powerful, values-led conversations to inspire regular giving for charities that truly make a difference. We're proud of our people-first culture, and we're committed to creating high-performing teams grounded in empathy, integrity and impact. About the Role As a Sales Trainer at Charity Link, your main responsibility is to give new fundraisers the strongest possible start during their first three months. You'll work face-to-face in the field—coaching and developing new starters in real fundraising environments. This includes going home to home in a variety of residential areas for our Door-to-Door teams, as well as working at Private Sites such as small local stores, quieter shopping centres, and garden centres—not just large high-footfall supermarkets. This isn't classroom-based training; it's practical, hands-on development where it really counts. This is a field-based role that involves regular travel and working flexibly, including smart hours (e.g. later starts or evenings). You'll lead by example, helping new starters see how adjusting their schedule can lead to better results—and modelling the habits that drive performance. There will also be some weekend working and occasional overnight stays away, depending on business needs, so a flexible and proactive approach to planning your time is key. In addition to working with new fundraisers, you'll deliver a set number of hopover training sessions each month—stepping in to offer short-term, targeted support where it's most needed. You may also be called upon to coach underperforming fundraisers when agreed with their Team Manager. You'll also contribute to the wider training experience by delivering webinars, supporting both of our onboarding programmes, and providing consistent reporting and insights to your Team Manager. Requirements What We're Looking For

  • Experience in face-to-face sales or fundraising, ideally with a coaching or training background.
  • A confident communicator—both in person and online—with strong observation and feedback skills.
  • Comfortable working outdoors, travelling regularly, and adapting to different types of venues.
  • Flexible and self-motivated, able to manage your own time and adjust to shifting priorities.
  • Passionate about helping others succeed, with a supportive and empowering style.
  • Tech confident—comfortable using online platforms to deliver virtual training and submit regular reports. Skills & Experience Essential:
  • Proven background in face-to-face sales, fundraising, or public engagement
  • Experience delivering training or coaching, with a track record of improving performance
  • Deep knowledge of sales techniques including negotiation, closing, and relationship building
  • Strong facilitation, presentation and communication skills
  • Proactive, organised and able to work independently
  • High emotional intelligence and the ability to adapt your style for different learners and environments
  • Confident with tech tools including Zoom, Teams, and online learning platforms Desirable:
  • Experience in the charity or third sector
  • Familiarity with Private Site or Home-to-Home fundraising environments
  • Experience designing e-learning or blended learning content
  • Recognised training or coaching qualification (e.g. TAP, ILM, CIPD) Benefits Benefits
  • Manchester, England
