Job summary

The Oxford Gun Company is looking for a motivated professional to join the team to grow the business through sales and other activities, working alongside David Florent. The successful candidate will understand country sports, including guns and shooting products, and will have experience running clay and game shoots.

Key responsibilities include selling clothing and guns in the shop, handling inquiries, providing shooting instruction, and working on the shooting grounds.

Qualifications

• Experienced shooting instructor across game and clay disciplines.
• Experience running and managing clay and game shoots.
• Excellent customer service in shop and shooting grounds.
• Good product knowledge for selling to customers in-store.

Job description

The Oxford Gun Company is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team to grow the business across sales and other activities, you will be working alongside David Florent.

The successful applicant will have a good understanding of country sports including guns, clothing and other shooting products, and will have experience running clay and game shoots, with an good understanding of the different disciplines.

Key responsibilities

• Selling within our shop, including sales of clothing, accessories and guns.
• Handling customer enquiries, both in person and on phone/email.
• Shooting instruction
• Working on the shooting grounds

Key skills and experience required for this position

Essential

• Experienced shooting instructor, across game and clay disciplines
• Experience of running and managing clay and game shoots.
• Ability to deliver exceptional customer service within our shop and shooting grounds.
• Good product knowledge, selling directly to customers within our shop.
• Flexibility of working hours to suit the needs of the business, with shift work on a 5 days out of 6 basis, Monday to Saturday.
• Working within a close team, whilst also able to take their own initiative and deliver individually.
• Access to own transport essential, as this is a remote location.
• Due to the nature of the business, a clean criminal record is required and candidates must be willing to have a full CRB check carried out or the role.

Ideally

• At least 1 year of retail sales experience
• Customer service: 1 year
