Job summary

Climate Centre, part of the Wolseley Group, is hiring a Sales Assistant in Maidstone. You will help trade customers at the counter, assess needs, and recommend climate products while delivering friendly service.

This full-time role runs Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00, with 40 hours weekly. We offer a competitive salary with bonus potential and a benefits package including annual leave, a matched pension, healthcare access, and staff discounts.

Qualifications

• Sales or customer service experience is required.
• Technical knowledge on Climate products or merchant experience is beneficial but not essential.
• Be a dependable team player with a proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Serve customers on the trade counter and recommend products.
• Respond to customer enquiries by phone and email promptly.
• Carry out general office duties and maintain high warehouse standards.
• Perform warehouse tasks including picking/packing, stock put-away, and merchandising.

As a Sales Assistant based in our Maidstone branch, you’ll be responsible for:

• Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing product recommendations.
• Responding to customer enquiries via phone & email promptly and courteously with a proactive attitude, along with general office duties.
• Completing general warehouse duties, including picking and packing orders, putting away deliveries, and merchandising displays to a high standard.

This is a full-time permanent role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:00 am - 17:00 pm.
