Job summary

IKEA Bristol is seeking Sales Assistants to join our busy store team. You will welcome customers, offer product advice, and help create a welcoming shopping experience while maintaining store standards.

This part-time sales role offers a competitive hourly rate of £13.45, with shifts around 8:00–21:30, including weekends. Interviews start 2 November; start date is 29th November 2026. We welcome applicants who thrive in a busy, customer-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in fast-moving, customer-facing environment.
• Confident using computers and IKEA systems.
• Customer-first mindset, valuing the customer.
• Ability to prioritise and manage own work with attention to detail.
• Able to safely lift and replenish stock.

Join our team as a Sales Assistant and be the welcoming face that helps customers find exactly what they need! This is a busy role perfect for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives during busy shifts, and takes pride in delivering reliable customer service. You'll play a key part in creating a welcoming shopping experience, offering product advice, and keeping the store looking its best. If you're motivated, consistent, and ready to grow your skills in retail, we'd be keen to hear from you!

WHAT WE OFFER

• The Start Date of employment will be 29th November 2026.
• Competitive hourly rate of £13.45 per hour.
• 20 Hours working 5 per week including 3 weekends out of 4
• 16 Hours working 4 per week including 3 weekends out of 4
• All contracts require availability between the hours of 08:00am - 21:30pm
• Interviews will begin on 2nd November onwards

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE

• Experience in a fast-moving, customer-facing environment would be a great advantage.
• Confident using computers and digital tools, with the ability to pick up new IKEA systems and processes with ease.
• You have a customer first mindset, where you make the customer feel valued and supported in everything you do.
• You take initiative, make well-informed choices, and engage with your daily tasks.
• Prioritise and organise your own work to make efficient use of the time available with great attention to detail.
• Ready to safely lift, condense, and replenish stock so that we are always customer ready.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

• Provide an inspirational shopping experience for our customers by actively approaching them to identify their needs and advising them on the best solutions for their life at home.
• Motivated by the range, curious to learn the stories behind the products and their design
• You support sales by ensuring your area of responsibility is clean, fully stocked, all products priced, well presented and easy to shop.
• Manual handling and heavy lifting of various stock safely.
