Job description

shoezone has an opportunity for a Sales Assistant to join our team based in Oldbury. This is a part-time, permanent position.

This role requires working on Saturdays for 5 hours per week. Flexibility for the rest of the week is also needed, with the core rota subject to change based on business needs.

In return, you will receive a competitive salary, pro-rated between £2,612.50 to £3,189.86 per annum (Full Time Equivalent £19,593.75 to £23,923.96), depending on your age. After 3 years with the company, you will be on the national minimum wage for 21+ year olds regardless of age. You will also have access to career development opportunities and great benefits.

About Us

We are a retail footwear retailer with stores in town centres, retail parks, and an online platform, offering low prices and high-quality footwear for the entire family, with free next-day delivery on all orders. We operate from 280 stores and employ approximately 2,200 staff across the UK.

Our store portfolio includes 91 town centre stores, 144 hybrid town centre stores, and 43 larger retail park stores, which also stock additional brands like Skechers, Hush Puppies, and Kickers.

Our online store, shoezone.com, stocks exclusive footwear and complements our store network and marketplaces, providing a full multi-channel customer experience. Annually, we sell around 14.5 million pairs of shoes at an average retail price of £13.

The Sales Assistant Role

We understand you won’t know everything about shoezone initially, which is why we provide training and development to equip our Sales Assistants with the knowledge, confidence, and skills needed to excel. A genuine enthusiasm and passion for helping people, along with a motivation to learn and grow, are essential.
