We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Assistant to join our dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys interacting with people and thrives in a busy retail environment. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and a genuine enthusiasm for helping customers find what they need.

Duties

• Deliver outstanding customer service by welcoming and assisting shoppers with their needs.
• Answer phone calls professionally and provide accurate product information.
• Use effective sales techniques, including upselling, to enhance the customer shopping experience.
• Keep the sales floor clean, organised, and fully stocked.
• Share clear and helpful product knowledge to guide customer decisions.
• Balance multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining high service standards.
• Handle basic math for transactions and assist in inventory control.
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet and exceed sales goals.

Preferred Experience & Skills

• Previous experience in a retail or sales environment is advantageous but not essential
• A genuine interest in, or practical knowledge of, cars and automotive parts
• Proficiency in other languages is a plus, as bilingual candidates can better serve our diverse customer base
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
• An interest in sales and the ability to communicate persuasively with customers.
• Familiarity with upselling techniques and a willingness to learn more about effective sales strategies.

Additional Information:

• Full training will be provided. For the right candidate, there is a clear path for progression, with opportunities to be upskilled to Team Leader and eventually General Manager.
• We are also open to hiring two part-time assistants, so flexible working arrangements can be considered.
