Job summary

Plumb Centre in Bishops Stortford is seeking a Sales Assistant to help customers at the trade counter with product recommendations and expert service.

You will respond to inquiries by phone and email, make outbound calls to win back customers, and actively drive sales while performing warehouse tasks including stock control and order picking of heavy items.

Qualifications

• Plumbing & heating knowledge is ideal.
• Face to face sales and customer service experience required.

As a **Sales Assistant** based in our **Bishops Stortford** branch you’ll be responsible for: * Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing advice and product recommendations* Responding to customer enquiries via phone & email promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude* Making outbound phone calls to previous customers to regain their business* Actively identifying and pursuing opportunities to drive sales within the branch, engaging both new and existing customers* General warehouse duties including booking incoming stock onto the system and putting it away and picking and packing customer orders which will involve manual handling heavy stock e.g. boilers, radiators, sinks and toilets This is a full time time permanent role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 07.00am - 5.00pm and a maximum of 2 Saturday mornings a month 08.00am - 12.00pm. **And here’s what we’d like you to have:** * Plumbing & Heating knowledge is ideal* Previous Face to Face sales and customer service experience* Warehouse experience* The ability to deliver outstanding customer service* To be a team player who is happy to assist in all areas to ensure the smooth running of the branch* Eagerness to learn, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude and a strong work ethic* To be comfortable lifting heavy items **We look forward to receiving your application!**
