Job summary

IKEA in the United Kingdom is seeking a part-time Sales Assistant to provide an inspirational shopping experience by actively approaching customers, advising on solutions for life at home, and keeping areas well presented.

Start date 3rd October 2026. Part-time hours 12-30 per week, 3-5 days, including late evenings and weekends. We offer an IKEA discount (15%), life assurance and enhanced pension contributions plus interest-free loans.

• You support improving sales by ensuring your area of responsibility is clean, fully stocked, all products priced, well presented and easy to shop.
• Some products may involve heavy lifting.
• You have a customer first mindset, where you make the customer feel valued and supported in everything you do.
• You take initiative, make well-informed choices, and engage with your daily tasks.
• You prioritise and organise your own work to make efficient use of the time available with great attention to detail.

Salary and working hours

Hourly rate of £14.15.

Part Time: 12 - 30 hours per week working 3-5 days out of 7, including late evenings and 3 out 4 weekends.
