Job summary

Alliance Automotive Group UK & Ireland is scaling its Sales API and seeks a Digital Product Owner to own the API roadmap, drive adoption with new customers, and partner with commercial teams on tenders. You will engage with Key Account customers, translate requirements into viable API solutions, and work closely with engineering on delivery and quality.

Qualifications

• Proven experience owning or managing API products in a commercial environment.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, authentication, data structures (JSON/XML).
• Ability to translate business needs into detailed API requirements and tech specs.
• Experience working with Agile/Scrum engineering teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management across commercial, technical and customer contexts.

Responsibilities

• Own the Sales API roadmap and prioritise features by value, demand and feasibility.
• Act as technical consultant to customers and partners; guide successful implementations.
• Define API requirements including endpoints, payloads and security; ensure documentation is accurate.
• Collaborate with commercial teams to align API capabilities with tender opportunities.
• Manage backlog, write user stories with acceptance criteria, and support QA/UAT.
