Job summary

Jewson, part of Stark UK, is hiring for a full-time branch role in Glasgow. The position runs Monday to Friday, 7:30–17:00, with every other Saturday 08:00–12:00. Address: 257 Glasgow Road, Rutherglen, GLASGOW, G73 1SG.

You’ll interact with customers in person and over the phone, process orders, manage stock, and maintain store appearance. The role offers a competitive basic salary, a performance-related bonus, and a range of benefits including pension, life assurance, and employee discounts,

Responsibilities

• Know product lines and services to assist customers per Jewson values.
• Develop relationships with customers (face to face and over the phone) and provide proactive advice.
• Use in-house systems to process orders and payments, organise deliveries, update accounts and keep customers informed.
• Keep the branch clean and tidy to make a great first impression.
• Maintain stock levels and perform regular stock counts.
• Collaborate with colleagues to suggest improvements.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Get to know our product lines and services in order to make the most of all customer interactions in line with our Jewson values
• Develop great relationships with new and existing customers (both face to face and over the phone), understanding their needs and providing proactive advice and solutions so that you can deliver the best experience possible
• Use our in-house systems to process customer orders and payments, organise delivery times, update customer accounts and keep customers updated throughout their journey
• Keep the branch looking clean and tidy, to make a great first impression on our customers
• Maintain stock levels, carrying out regular stock counts
• Work with colleagues to suggest opportunities for improvement
