Job summary

Bannatynes are seeking a dynamic Membership Advisor for Banbury to promote and sell memberships through tours and follow-ups. This role is up to 20 hours per week at £12.71/hour, with a focus on delivering exceptional member experiences.

You will work with the team to meet sales targets, manage sign-ups and payments, and support onboarding, retention and services. A passion for health and customer service, plus strong communication and organisational skills, is essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in sales, customer service or fitness environment is desirable.
• Strong sales and negotiation skills with a proven track record of achieving targets.
• A degree or qualification in sales, marketing or a related field is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Promote and sell memberships through tours, presentations and follow-ups.
• Identify opportunities to achieve and exceed sales targets.
• Provide a welcoming and informative experience for members.
• Handle inquiries, appointments and follow-up calls professionally.
• Manage sign-ups, contracts, data entry and payments.
• Maintain accurate membership records and confidentiality.
• Collaborate with fitness and customer service teams for onboarding.
• Participate in retention activities such as welcome calls and surveys.
• Promote club programs, services and events.
• Attend weekly video hangouts to discuss KPI performance.

A typical day in the life of a Membership Advisor

• Promote and sell memberships through tours, presentations and follow ups with prospective members. Conduct engaging and informative tours of the club, highlighting key features and benefits.
• Achieve and exceed individual and team sales targets by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
• Provide a welcoming and informative experience for all potential and new members.
• Handle inquiries, appointments and follow up calls in a professional and timely manner.
• Manage the membership sign up process, including completing contracts, entering data into the membership system and processing payments.
• Maintain accurate and up to date membership records and ensure confidentiality of member information.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as preparing reports and tracking sales metrics.
• Collaborate with the fitness and customer service teams to ensure a seamless onboarding process for new members.
• Participate in member retention activities, such as welcome calls, and satisfaction surveys, to enhance member engagement and loyalty
• Promote club programs, services and events to current and prospective members.
• Attend weekly video hangouts to discuss KPI performance in absence of a Sales Manager.
