Job summary

Bannatyne in Dumfries is seeking a dynamic Membership Advisor to drive membership growth while delivering excellent customer service. You will tour facilities, sign up new members, process contracts and payments, and maintain records. The role supports a positive health and wellness environment and requires weekend availability.

The position is part-time (16 hours/week) with a pay rate of £12.71/hour and access to Bannatyne perks and development opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Promote and sell memberships through tours, presentations and follow-ups with prospective members.
• Achieve and exceed individual and team sales targets by identifying new opportunities.
• Provide a welcoming and informative experience for all potential and new members.
• Handle inquiries, appointments and follow-up calls professionally.
• Manage the membership sign-up process, contracts, data entry and payments.
• Maintain accurate membership records and confidentiality of information.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as reports and sales metrics.
• Collaborate with fitness and customer service teams for seamless onboarding.
• Participate in member retention activities like welcome calls and surveys.
• Promote club programs, services and events to members and prospects.
• Attend weekly video meetings to discuss KPI performance.

A typical day in the life of a Membership Advisor

• Promote and sell memberships through tours, presentations and follow ups with prospective members. Conduct engaging and informative tours of the club, highlighting key features and benefits.
• Achieve and exceed individual and team sales targets by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
• Provide a welcoming and informative experience for all potential and new members.
• Handle inquiries, appointments and follow up calls in a professional and timely manner.
• Manage the membership sign up process, including completing contracts, entering data into the membership system and processing payments.
• Maintain accurate and up to date membership records and ensure confidentiality of member information.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as preparing reports and tracking sales metrics.
• Collaborate with the fitness and customer service teams to ensure a seamless onboarding process for new members.
• Participate in member retention activities, such as welcome calls, and satisfaction surveys, to enhance member engagement and loyalty
• Promote club programs, services and events to current and prospective members.
• Attend weekly video hangouts to discuss KPI performance in absence of a Sales Manager.

It would be advantageous if you had a degree or qualification in sales, marketing or a related field.
