Job description

Sales Administrator

Location: Nr. Desford, Leicester, LE9

Salary: £13.33 Per Hour

We have a fantastic opportunity for an Administrator to work for a friendly and supportive company based in Leicestershire, LE9. This company boasts over 25 years of experience delivering their services internationally and are leaders in their field.

The role involves overseeing the company inbox, managing requests for quotations and information, and forwarding emails to the appropriate team members.

You will track and meet customer deadlines, ensure the CRM system and project folders are updated, and information is archived when required.

Other duties include processing sales orders and warranty documents, overseeing the handover of sales to the service and after-sales teams, and collaborating with colleagues in sales, finance, production, logistics, service, and aftersales.

You will assist with monthly sales reporting and forecasting and contribute to sales and admin team meetings.

There is also an exciting opportunity to participate in exhibitions, conferences, and networking events.

This role is developing, with opportunities to support marketing, exhibition planning, and website development.

We seek a capable administrator who is proactive, flexible, solution-oriented, and highly organized to prioritize workloads effectively. Experience with marketing and social media is ideally preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required. Experience with Sage 200 is advantageous but not essential, as training can be provided.

The role is Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:00 (08:30–16:30 during training).

Role Responsibilities:
  • Manage requests for quotations and information alongside technical sales engineers.
  • Oversee the shared inbox and distribute emails appropriately.
  • Track and meet customer deadlines.
  • Update the CRM system and project folders.
  • Contact consultant engineers and contractors to verify technical requirements.
  • Archive project-specific information.
  • Process sales orders and warranty documents.
  • Oversee the handover of sales to service and after-sales teams.
  • Assist with monthly sales reports.
  • Participate in exhibitions, conferences, and networking events.
About You:
  • Experienced administrator.
  • Sales admin experience is desirable.
  • Experience with marketing and social media.
  • Ability to prioritize workloads and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; Sage 200 experience is a plus.
  • Structured, detail-oriented, proactive, and flexible.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Must be a driver with own vehicle due to the rural location.

This position is temporary and will become permanent after a successful 12-week period.
