Job summary

Masstemps is recruiting a Sales Administrator to join the growing sales team in a manufacturing business. You will provide day-to-day admin and sales support, build relationships with customers and develop new sales opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day administrative and sales support to the sales team.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
• Communicate with customers by telephone, email and other business channels.
• Handle customer enquiries and ensure they are dealt with promptly and professionally.
• Assist Account Managers with the management of customer accounts.
• Maintain accurate customer and sales information on company systems.
• Process quotations, orders and other sales documentation.
• Follow up quotations and enquiries to identify opportunities to secure new business.
• Identify opportunities to increase sales and develop existing customer accounts.
• Support the sales team in achieving individual and company sales targets.
• Learn the company's products, manufacturing processes and customer requirements.
• Use in-house systems and computer-based tools to manage customer information and sales activity.
• Monitor customer activity and proactively contact clients where appropriate.
• Develop an understanding of customer needs and identify additional products or services that may benefit them.
• Work closely with internal departments including production, administration and management to ensure customers receive a high level of service.
• Gradually take ownership of a portfolio of customer accounts as experience and confidence develops.
• Develop new business opportunities through proactive telephone and email contact.
• Contribute ideas and initiatives to help expand and grow the business.

Job description

Masstemps are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic, motivated and commercially minded Sales Administrator to join our clients growing sales team within a successful manufacturing business.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in sales. Working closely with our clients experienced Sales and Account Management team, you will gain hands-on experience in managing customer accounts, developing relationships, identifying new opportunities and helping to grow existing business.

The role is both computer and telephone based, with regular communication with existing customers, supporting Account Managers and helping to develop new sales opportunities.

For the right person, there is a clear opportunity to progress from Sales Administration into a Sales Account Manager / Business Development role, with increased responsibility and earning potential.

This role is designed for someone who wants to develop a career within sales, rather than simply provide administrative support.

Initially, you will work closely with the existing sales team, learning our products, systems, customers and processes. As your knowledge and confidence develops, you will be given increasing responsibility for managing customer accounts and developing new business.

The long-term opportunity is to progress into an Account Manager / Business Development position, managing your own portfolio of customers and being rewarded through a strong commission structure based on your performance and the growth of your accounts.

Hours of work:

Monday - Friday 8am-4pm

Rate of pay:

£26k-£28k per annum with an uncapped commission structure.
