Job Description

We are seeking a Sales Account Manager to focus within Health. The role is Home Based, with travel to client sites. NECSWS has a strong reputation across the public sector, with a high level of wins within Health – and we’re keen to bring someone into the team with strong experience of this – so this can continue to grow. The role will predominantly involve sales of NEC Rego, our integrated referral management platform across primary and secondary care. Check out the video below!

The key focus of the role will be to develop strategic relationships at a senior level in Health, typically NHS Accounts, to enable sales into the market, with a focus on Software Sales into Clinicians and NHS Trusts. This involves relationship engagement at a senior level within the sector, including C-suite of ICBs such as CEOs, CFOs, and Medical Directors in both primary and secondary care.

The Account Manager will also liaise with other sales, pre-sales, and delivery staff within NECSWS to deliver revenue and develop the Account for NEC. They will be responsible for their territory's target revenue and maintaining the CRM in line with guidelines.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop relationships with existing customers and create new relationships with Commissioners, Senior Management/Boards, and CEOs, ensuring expectations are met pre- and post-sale.
  • Generate opportunities for new or extended product sales, swap-outs, and solutions development into assigned accounts.
  • Achieve sales targets and activities aligned with KPIs.
  • Maintain a pipeline of qualified sales opportunities to meet revenue targets.
  • Build long-term strategic relationships with clients, ensuring timely response to inquiries.
  • Develop strategic opportunities and bids within your accounts.
  • Track projects through to completion, ensuring adherence to procedures and high-quality bid delivery.
  • Understand and adhere to corporate policies and procedures.
  • Participate in meetings and training as required.
  • Contribute to a team-oriented culture and support NEC’s performance.
  • Assist in resolving debts as requested, ensuring sales and service revenues meet targets.

  • Reduced outpatient appointments in one Community Trust by 1815, saving 121 sessions annually.
  • Reduced referral send time from 300 to 84 seconds, saving up to 19,000 minutes of Clinician time annually.
  • 72% of referred patients received advice within 6 hours.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in software solution sales.
  • Experience in health market sales, including NHS Trusts and Clinicians.
  • Experience in developing health client accounts around software sales.
  • Ability to engage with senior management and decision-makers.
  • Broad knowledge of IS/IT services in the public sector and selling innovative technologies.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to build sustainable relationships with key health decision makers.
  • Ability to define requirements and work collaboratively to develop solutions.
  • Strategic focus to turn prospects into sales.
