Job summary

OA Group is seeking a Sales Account Manager to join our Corby team and own a portfolio of global customer accounts, driving growth while delivering excellent service across enquiries, quotations, orders and account activity.

The role reports to the Head of Sales and requires a proactive, commercially minded professional with strong communication skills, CRM experience and the ability to support international customers with flexible hours.

Sales Account Manager
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum

Location: Corby

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Sales Account Manager to join our growing sales team. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded sales professional to take ownership of a portfolio of global customer accounts, building strong relationships while identifying opportunities to grow and develop existing business.

Reporting directly to the Head of Sales, you will play an important role in managing customer accounts and ensuring a high level of service throughout the sales process. You will work closely with customers across different markets, managing enquiries, quotations, orders and account activity, while proactively looking for opportunities to generate additional business.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a select portfolio of customer accounts, overseeing enquiries, quotations, consignment stock levels and order updates.
• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing customers and key contacts.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities with both existing and prospective customers.
• Take a proactive approach to qualifying new leads and converting opportunities into new customer accounts.
• Understand customer requirements and provide a responsive, professional and commercially focused service.
• Proactively identify opportunities to increase sales and develop customer accounts.
• Effectively manage and maintain accurate customer databases, ensuring all relevant information and activity is recorded.
• Work closely with colleagues across the wider business to ensure customer requirements are delivered effectively.
• Collaborate as part of the wider sales team while taking ownership of individual accounts and targets.
• Contribute towards achieving both individual and team sales objectives.
• Maintain regular communication with customers and provide timely updates throughout the sales and order process.
• Be flexible with working hours where required to accommodate the company's predominantly US-based customer base.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience in a sales, account management or business development role.
• Experience managing customer accounts and developing commercial relationships.
• A proactive and commercially focused approach to sales.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent organisation and time-management skills.
• The ability to manage multiple enquiries, quotes and customer requirements simultaneously.
• Experience using CRM systems or customer databases.
• A confident and professional approach when dealing with customers.
• The ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a wider team.
• A willingness to work flexibly to support international customers
