Job summary

Middleway Surgery in the United Kingdom is expanding its GP team and offering a salaried post with potential future partnership. The role centres on care for the list, long-term condition management, generic prescribing, telephone triage and a duty doctor rota, plus admin and teaching medical students.

The practice serves about 6,700 patients and emphasises training, research and specialist interests. Essential criteria include MRCGP or CCT-level training and at least two years as a salaried GP.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Deliver medical care to the practice population
• Provide services in line with the GMS contract
• Prescribe generically in line with local and national guidance
• Manage long-term conditions effectively
• Process admin promptly, including referrals and repeat prescriptions
• Undertake telephone triage and duty doctor roles on a rota
• Keep accurate clinical records
• Share an equal part of the practice workload
• Take delegated responsibility for an area of the QOF
• Support the training of medical students
• Support partners in the practice's strategic aims, including ways to raise income and cut costs
• Complete appraisal and revalidation and take part in clinical audit
