Job summary

Sidley Medical Practice in England seeks a salaried GP to build a personal patient list with a future route to partnership. The role focuses on autonomous primary care under the GMS contract, including assessment, prescribing, care planning, home visits and on-call cover.

Sessions ideally 6–8 per week, with a defined workload and no duty days. Full GMC registration and CCT or equivalent completion are required, with opportunities for training and professional development.

Qualifications

• Qualified GP with GMC registration.
• MRCGP or equivalent JCPTGP training.
• CCT in General Practice or completion equivalent.
• Eligibility to practise independently in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Provide a full range of medical services under the GMS contract.
• Assess undifferentiated problems and make autonomous clinical decisions.
• Develop care plans, counselling and health education per protocols.
• Provide emergency on-call cover and short-term colleague cover.
• Carry out home visits with support from paramedics and nurses.
• Issue prescriptions within CCG policy and maintain records.
• Screen patients for risk factors and promote health.
• Support undergraduate and GP registrar training.
• Lead audits, data collection and QOF work.
• Contribute to service development and meet access targets.
• Undertake GP duties including reports and cremation forms.
