Job summary

The Central Surgery is seeking a salaried GP to join our friendly, forward-thinking practice for 4 sessions on Monday and Tuesday. We value a patient-focused approach within a well-established team that emphasises teamwork, innovation and professional development.

Qualifications

• GMC-registered GP with UK practice experience.
• Strong patient-facing skills and clinical judgment.
• Ability to work within a collaborative MDT.

Responsibilities

• Conduct GP clinic consultations (4 sessions per week).
• Perform home visits and telephone consultations.
• Check and sign repeat prescriptions and action blood results.
• Make autonomous clinical decisions for presenting problems.
• Engage with Practice team and PCN initiatives.

• Surgery consultations.
• Telephone consultations.

• Make professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self referred or referred from other healthcare workers within the organisation.
• Contribute to new ideas and be part of the Practice team.
  We are a friendly supportive team, consisting of 2 GP Partners, Salaried GPs, Practice Nurse, HCA, a Secretary and Reception team. We are part of St Helens Central PCN. With additional staff such as FCPs, Frailty team, Care Co-ordinators, Community Midwife, Mental health team and Pharmacists.

Central Surgery has a list size of approx. 6,500 patients. We share purpose built premises with 3 other GP Surgeries, Mersey Care Childrens Hub, Maternity Hub, Physiotherapy, Treatment Rooms, Phlebotomy Service and a Dental Practice.
